Unreal Commanderis one of the leading software in File ManagementUnreal Commander is a file management application, or a shell, if you like. It can be used as a successful alternative to Windows Explorer It is very popular in today’s File Management software market, and its users love it deeply. Our testing report shows that the functions of Unreal Commander is powerful. I couldn't help myself noticing the striking resemblance to Total Commander; still, there are features which these two programs don't have in common. The interface has a nice design and can be fully customized in order to suit your needs. You can customize pretty much everything, from fonts, colors, background pictures and so on. An interesting feature is the fact that you can customize the file categories; for example, you can choose the EXE files to be displayed in red, archives to be displayed in green and so on. The program is very easy to use also due to the fact that you can choose to enable the Windows right click context menu. The side by side two panel interface makes it very easy to manage files. You open multiple folders in tabs for a quick data handling. File copy, paste, rename, move and all common operations are supported as well as support for archives, UNICODE and synchronization of directories. When deleting files, you can choose between three options: delete to Recycle Bin, delete from disk and delete with WIPE, the last meaning the fact that files can be deleted beyond recovery. The program supports drag-and-drop, network view and has an inbuilt FTP client. Quick view of files is also available as well as searching for files by name, content, date, size and other variables. There's an option which allows you to copy file names or paths to command line and you can perform major operations using the function keys.
